Meet Your Counselor
Getting to know your counselor is part of feeling safe enough to be honest. Here's a little about who you'll be working with.
Emily Wiebe
Founder & Pastoral Counselor
My own path to Morning Joy began in a season of grief I didn't expect to walk through. In the middle of it, learning my temperament, my strengths, and the places I still had room to grow, helped me offer myself grace instead of judgment, and gave me a way forward I couldn't find on my own. That experience is why this practice exists.
I'm an NCCA-certified pastoral counselor trained in temperament-based counseling. Before starting Morning Joy, I worked with children and adolescents in a therapeutic setting, and that work continues to shape how I show up for the families I meet today.
I named this practice after Psalm 30:5: weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning. Wherever you are in your own night, I'd count it an honor to help you find your way toward morning, because the sun always comes up, and joy always comes with it.
